Vietnam weather forecast July 14-16: Rains continue to lash northwestern region

General weather conditions across Vietnam from July 14-16
Heavy rains will reduce on July 15 but increase again on July 16-17. During daytime, the region experiences hot weather, especially the eastern and southern parts of Son La and Hoa Binh provinces, with temperatures ranging from 34-38C and 35-38C, while the western part sees lower temperatures, from 28-33C.

Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen still suffer from sweltering weather, with extreme heat in some places, temperatures hovering from 36-39C from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, and 35-38C from Da Nang to Phu Yen.
Meanwhile, the weather is not too severe in provinces from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan as temperatures range from 32-35C and scattered rains late afternoon. Locals are warned of tornadoes and lighting.
The Central Highlands and southern regions are expected to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms late afternoon, night or early morning. The highest temperatures in the southern region is from 31-34C and Central Highlands, 30-33C.

The capital city is expected to have sunny days, with scorching heat in some places, temperatures from 34-37C on July 14, 35-38C on July 15 and 35-37C on July 16.
Northwestern region
In the next three days, sunny days are in the forecast for the northwestern region on July 14-16 and scattered showers and thunderstorms late afternoon and night. Temperatures hover around from 28-38C on July 14, 30-38C on July 15 and 28-38 on July 16.
Northeastern region
The region has showers and thunderstorms late afternoon and night in some places. There is a risk of tornadoes, lightning, and hail. Temperatures during daytime are from 34-37C on July 14, 35-38C on July 15 and 38-37C on July 16.
Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast in some places late afternoon and night. Hot weather and even extreme heat bake the region during the daytime, temperatures reaching 36-39C on the three days.
