Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association to Facilitate People-to-people Exchanges

During their working visit, the delegation met with its partners in South Korea such as the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association, and the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association.

In addition, the Vietnamese delegation hosted a warm reception for the Chairman of the Ly Hoa Son Family Association, descendants of Prince Ly Long Tuong who immigrated to South Korea from Vietnam in the 13th century. They also visited Sangmyung University, and the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea, and met with a number of South Korean enterprises planning to invest in Vietnam in the food and textile fields.

At the working sessions, South Korean organizations and individuals congratulated Vietnam's National Day and the recent achievements of Vietnam.

The meeting took place during a working visit by the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association from August 30 to September 4, 2023.

The Vietnamese delegation provided information about Vietnam's economic and social progress and the activities of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association. The two sides decided to work closely together in the future to act as a bridge in the fields of cooperation such as education, culture, health, communication, and human resource training.

Besides, the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea. Here, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung received the delegation and expressed his wish that the Association would continue to promote its role in people-to-people exchanges to strengthen the friendship between people of the two countries. The Ambassador also participated in a number of activities organized by the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association delegation.
