According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, in the first half of 2020, shrimp exports were up 5.7 per cent, reaching US$1.5 billion despite COVID-19.

Vietnam's shrimp exports to the US and China have gradually increased during the first half of the year despite the negative impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. 

Vietnam's shrimp exports are expected to increase this year end due to a prospective rise in demand, according to the Vietnam Association Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) informed that Vietnam’s shrimp exports to Canada surged 32% to US$54.7 million from the beginning of the year to the first half of May year on year.
