On December 16, the Vietnam Esperanto Association in collaboration with the Vjetnama Esperantista Junulara Organizo (VEJO) held the opening ceremony of the 41st Joint Esperanto Youth Conference in Hanoi. The conference is themed "The strong development of technology and its impact on human life", taking place from December 15-18 in Hanoi and Ninh Binh.

The conference is held alternately between countries every year. It is an event that helps young people exchange cultures, strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding between countries, and promote the development of the Esperanto movement between countries.

Successfully hosting the ninth Asia-Oceania Esperanto Congress, with representatives participating in the Executive Committee of the Universal Esperanto Association is one of the outstanding activities of the Vietnam Esperanto Association in 2019.
