The Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument is a symbol of the solidarity and cohesion between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.

On the occasion of the Day of Vietnam Southern Liberation for National Reunification April 30, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam has sent a congratulatory letter to Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) President Nguyen Phuong Nga to express his warmest congratulations and high appreciation.

The groundbreaking is more meaningful as it takes place at a time when the Cambodian Government and people are celebrating the 41st anniversary of the victory (January 7, 1979 - 2020).
