On March 24, The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore held a ceremony to hand over the Friendship Order and the insignia to Catherine Wong Siow Ping, former Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam.

Vietnam is an important market for Singapore, and Singaporean investors are seeking more opportunities to invest in Vietnam, especially in prioritized areas such as innovation, development of smart cities, and startups.

Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam Catherine Wong said that when the traditional fields of cooperation have reached the two countries' expected effectiveness, Vietnam and Singapore can start collaborating on other new fields such as startups and innovation.
