The Viet Nam Peace and Development Foundation hosted an international conference titled "ASEAN in a Changing World: Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects," sponsored by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation on November 14 in Hanoi. The conference brought together domestic and international scholars who proposed various solutions to maintain peace and stability in the ASEAN region.

Most opinions affirm that up to now, ASEAN has played a central role and needs to continue to promote its leading role in issues that require collective action and effort, including maritime security.
