Ceremony Held to Introduce First Armenian Book Translated to Vietnamese

On May 2, as part of his journey accompanying the sacred relics of Buddha Shakyamuni to Vietnam for the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, Kiren Rijiju, India’s Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs, met with the Vietnam-India Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The meeting underscored the deep cultural and diplomatic ties between the two nations, further strengthening their historical bonds through this momentous occasion.

On April 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, met with an international delegation comprising individuals who had supported Vietnam during its resistance war for national independence and reunification. Organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the event marked the delegation’s visit to Vietnam in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Frank Howard Joyce, who joined the anti-Vietnam war movement in the 1960s, returned to Vietnam for the fifth time as Head of the delegation of the US National Council of Elders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's national reunification. For him, each visit offers a deeper understanding of the strength, spirit, and value of peace as embodied by the Vietnamese people.

The Vietnamese people are a nation that truly deserves independence, freedom, and happiness, because they understand the true value of those ideals, said Professor Ahn Kyong-Hwan.
