He emphasized that with a legacy of 75 years of friendship and cooperation, a solid foundation of sustainable relations, high-level political trust, deep mutual understanding between the two peoples, and shared values including peace, progress, and prosperity, Vietnam and Hungary are poised to write new chapters in their bilateral ties.

On behalf of the Hungarian Government and Parliament, First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Marta Matrai conveyed warm congratulations from Speaker of the National Assembly Laszlo Kover and the entire Hungarian leadership to the people of Vietnam on the dual anniversary.

Matrai congratulated Vietnam on its achievements since reunification in 1975, expressing pride in Hungary’s contribution to Vietnam’s national liberation—particularly through its participation in the International Commission of Control and Supervision (ICCS) from 1973 to 1975.

She praised the longstanding traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially the strong inter-parliamentary ties. She highlighted mutual visits by National Assembly leaders, committee exchanges, and legislative experience-sharing forums as pillars of the bilateral partnership.

Acknowledging the Vietnamese community’s contributions to Hungary’s development and prosperity, Matrai affirmed that the Hungarian Government and Parliament remain committed to supporting their integration into local society.
