UN Women Holds Dialogue to Promote Female Leadership and Gender Equality in Dien Bien
The 2024 Women Leadership Dialogue, organized by UN Women with the theme "Stories of Inspiration – From Dreams to Success." It sought to encourage women and girls, especially those from disadvantaged communities, to break barriers and challenge gender stereotypes while realizing their full potential.

Over 150 young people, including students, gathered in Dien Bien Phu City on December 3 to share stories of success and explore initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and female leadership. The event placed an emphasis on empowering women from ethnic minority groups in northern Vietnam. The dialogue was part of the activities marking the Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention Action Month 2024 and commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (Beijing+30). |
