In 2025, the southwestern province plans to address temporary housing by rebuilding or renovating 567 homes. This initiative includes the construction of 443 new houses and the repair of 124 existing ones, with an allocated budget exceeding 44.8 billion VND (approximately 1.75 million USD).
As of now, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee's Standing Board has allocated funding of over 30 billion VND to support 451 houses. Among these, 384 new houses and 67 repairs are currently underway, with 76 homes already completed and handed over. Additionally, the province has repaired 113 houses, including 67 for households meeting national poverty standards and 46 under provincial criteria.
By February 19, donors had pledged 37.96 billion VND to the program, with 36.7 billion VND already transferred to the “For the Poor” Fund, achieving 96.68% of the target.
Tay Ninh still has 1,486 poor and near-poor households based on multi-dimensional poverty standards, including 752 in urgent need of housing assistance.
