More Treatment Opportunities Brought to Craniofacial Patients in Vietnam

Katrin Kandel said that from November 16-30, Facing the World brought a team of craniofacial surgery experts from the UK to work in Vietnam. They will coordinate with Viet Duc Hospital, Hong Ngoc Hospital, and Central Military Hospital 108 to perform free surgeries for children and exchange expertise with Vietnamese doctors. In addition, FTW plans to discuss with partners to support cancer patients in Vietnam.
VUFO Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung acknowledged the contribution of FTW in supporting patients in Vietnam. VUFO agreed to continue to cooperate with FTW in handling administrative procedures and implementing upcoming activities.
Facing the World was founded in the UK to help children with facial deformities in developing countries. Since 2008, FTW has brought many groups of foreign doctors to Vietnam, collaborating with Vietnamese doctors to perform complex craniofacial surgeries for children. To date, FTW has coordinated to organize more than 100 visits and exchanges of medical experts with Vietnam, established the Center for Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery at Hanoi Central Military Hospital 108, and contributed equipment. technology worth £2 million to partner hospitals. |
